Other Missions...

Our members are involved in many other missions.

• Through the Angel Gifts program we provide Christmas gifts to over 50 families every Christmas.
• We host the Cub Scout Pack 62 on Tuesdays at 6:30 and are looking to add both a girl scout troop and a Boy Scout Troop.
• We feed the hungry with each day with non-perishable meals called Martin’s Meals, named after a much loved saint and beloved office Manager, Martin Arias.
• Through our 2^nd Mile Communion Sunday offering, we are able to offer emergency assistance to residents of Henry County.  Applications for Financial Assistance are available through the church office and are reviewed weekly by our Benevolence Committee.
• Our church partners with Wesley Chapel UMC in offering an annual great day of service, “Many Hearts, Many Hands”.  With over 400 volunteers, we worked on over 40 projects in the community in 2009 and anticipate a greater response on November 6, 2010.  Applications for this ministry will be available soon.
• Upward Sports…serves as an outreach ministry, offering Christian Basketball and Cheerleading to our community children.  Applications will be available online or through the church office on September 1^st, 2010.  Once again, we will need coaches, team moms, referees, concessions and greeters.
